Ah, Luz Kinilaw Place, a hidden gem tucked away in the heart of culinary authenticity. This unassuming hole in the wall, with its humble appearance and lack of pretense, is a haven for those seeking the pure pleasure of Kinilaw-the Filipino version of Ceviche.
We went here for lunch expecting to be blown away. However, the food we ordered was not so different from what we tasted from other restaurants/eateries in terms of quality (considering its price). The place (2nd floor) was packed. They need to hire more people to maintain cleanliness of the place.
I enjoyed the kinilaw here. Second best in Davao, for the best go to Yellow Fin. However, since they charged the same price (200 pesos) as Yellow Fin, I felt that the portion here was much smaller. The taste was still very good nonetheless. I would have liked to try their grilled dishes but they were all oversized for one person.
Spacious restaurant. Delicious grilled foods. Delicious kinilaw ceviche . Delicious grilled tuna, squid, fish eggs ??? . The soup was okay.
