Combine Grill - Davenport

We waited an hour for our food after placing our order, which was surprising given that there were only four other tables occupied and two people at the bar. We just ordered burgers and one sandwich. When the food arrived, the fries were cold, and one of the burgers was overcooked. Our waitress stepped in as the bartender during a shift change for about 20 minutes, which wasn’t an issue, but our food sat in the window for at least 10 minutes while she assisted other customers. The prices were quite steep, totaling $72 for four sandwiches, and we only ordered water to drink, so that amount was just for the food before tax and tip. We didn’t voice our concerns because the server was trying her best, but in hindsight, we should have. Unfortunately, none of us enjoyed our meals, and we left still feeling hungry.

The waitress was friendly and attentive. The food was just average; the calamari was somewhat tough. They might want to focus on improving food quality to attract repeat customers.

The atmosphere is dominated by a loud country station that's constantly playing commercials. The service was also disappointingly slow.

We were disappointed in our meals and service. Our waitress did her best but the management obviously did not ensure people got food in a timely manner. We had to ask for a waiter/waitress after we were seated. We ordered the chicken and a burger. We waited over 45 minutes for our food which was not very good. My mom did not get the burger she ordered, my husband and I got the fried chicken. The chicken itself was good but the coating was way to thick and you could barely bite into it. I pulled it off which defeats the purpose of fried chicken. We had high expectations for a Bass affiliated restaurant. We will not be back.
