Filling Station - Davenport

If you're in the area of the Fill Station, you need to stop there. My wife and my three kids loved this place. The food was very good. It was busy when we got there, but it did not take very long to get our food. The atmosphere was very cool, lots of old gas station signs and other things to look at. Our waitress was amazing. We never waited for any of our drinks.

The pork tenderloin sandwich is an amazing size. I had seen pictures and came back to Iowa specifically to try it. I was hoping the breading would have a little more flavor or spice to it, it was a little plain. Otherwise, though, the sandwich was pretty amazing. Beer selection was great.

We went here based on their good rating. We waited 10 minutes to be greeted. No one even acknowledged us. We decided to order our toddler’s hot dog when we ordered drinks. His food took almost as long as ours did. We placed our food order 15 minutes after his. Our server was slow, inattentive, and not knowledgeable of the menu. I was very disappointed, unimpressed, and will not be back.

The Burger and fries were absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly, hats off to the kitchen crew. BUT the service could be better, our server Jamie H. rarely checked on our table for more water or to ask about the meal or really anything that a normal server does. Watching the other servers, they seemed to be on the dime, so maybe she was distracted or having an off-day. Overall I recommend The Filling Station if you want a Tasty meal for a decent price.

First time here, love the building a d the atmosphere of the inside. Great food and attentive staff.
