Van's Downtown Davenport

Doesn't even deserve 1 star,,went in there Tues at 5:45 wanted a pizza before Wishbone Ash Show at the Redstone room. There were only 3 people in there and the young blonde bartender never looked, spoke or acknowledged my friend hungry and thirsty friend and I. we spent 15 min waiting before we gave up and left. She was talking to the same woman the entire time, and on her phone, and left the bar twice without as much looking at us. I will never go back.

Fist time in downtown. Our server is excellent. The food was too. I had baked Pasta Tortellini in a marinara sauce. My wife and friends ordered personal pizzas. Everybody had another guy. The buffalo chicken was a little spicy, but the other had a BLT and a chicken alfredo that were excellent. The beer was also cold. Great night with friends.

Great service and delicious pizza. Tried the T-Rex, which a house special pizza with red sauce, salami, pepperoni, sausage and I added roasted red peppers. It was great. And of course, as this is a pizza and wing joint, I had to try the wings. (Some have made the trip home... I tried the boneless strain this time. Crisp, hot and saucy as they should be. Good food and many beers on tap to choose. A great stop in downtown.

The pizza was fantastic! My friend and I shared a medium pizza called Yo Adrian, and it was one of the best pizzas I've ever had.

I visited on a Saturday night at 10:00, and it was incredibly loud. It was difficult to carry on any kind of conversation. I found myself struggling to be heard, so I ended up saying very little. I wonder if the atmosphere is any better on weekdays; it could really be a lovely place then.
