Feedback gevenHas the staff ever swept or cleaned this restaurant? The furniture is always covered in crumbs and stains, the staff are slow at clearing tables, and the floor looks like it hasn't been swept in weeks! The service is also slow. It would be interesting to know what their hygiene rating is, given how dirty the customer area is. One can only wonder what the kitchen looks like!
I stopped by the garden center to browse around and found some lovely pieces, although they were a bit pricey. I decided to have lunch there in a dog-friendly area. When I arrived at my table, it had crumbs on the chair that hadn't been brushed off and there was a mess under the table where something had been dropped. I mentioned it to the server clearing the table, but she seemed oblivious. The mess was not cleaned up, so I had to ensure my dog didn't sit or walk in it. The meal I ordered was okay, but could have been hotter and had less salad. I'm not sure if I will dine there again.
This is a lovely place to shop, but I would suggest avoiding the cafe and restaurant. The staff there are extremely rude and dismissive towards customers. The chairs and tables are dirty and don't seem to be cleaned regularly. The staff at the register don't acknowledge you and won't even respond if you greet them. It appears that they are very unhappy working here. The prices are high for a place where the staff are unproductive and disrespectful towards customers.
Very chill to go have a wonder round. Cafe inside is perfect for sit down with a hot brew plus with the Sainsburys inside a spot of grocery shopping can't hurt.
I visited with my children and a few other parents/children from school on a Friday afternoon. We received lovely service from an employee named Michael, he was really helpful throughout our visit. He made a request to the kitchen so the children could get hot meals (as these officially stop at 3pm), he made sure we had a nice area to sit in, helped get some glasses of water for the children and was chatty/friendly throughout. We really appreciated all his help to make our visit so enjoyable. The only negative (why I didn't give 5 stars) was that the soft play officially closes at 4.30pm and also hot food officially stops at 3PM. I think this is a shame. Could Dobbies re-look at this? However, this does not take away from oulr positive experience today. Thank you for a lovely visit and a special gratitude goes to Michael for all his wonderful help this evening.
