We were seated promptly, but had to wait a bit for our orders to be taken. The lunch menu was quite limited, and the waitress informed us that some items were not available. Disappointingly, we ended up ordering the gammon with egg and chips, which arrived after a 15-minute wait. Although we finished our meal, the chips resembled those from McDonald's and the gammon was overly salty – it was almost too much to handle. Along with 3 pints of coke/ale, the bill came to £39. The service was a bit slow, possibly due to a wedding taking place with many people in the bar area. Overall, we don't plan on returning unless the menu becomes more varied. We made a quick stop for a drink and ended up deciding to have a bite to eat. The food was delicious, and all of the staff were very friendly. The prices for both drinks and food were very reasonable.
Dropped into Coton Manor for viewing the snow drops and booked a lunch at this Historic pub. It’s modern but not. It has retained a traditional look for an old village pub, wood beams, decoration, lighting and most important, I very good selection of local ales and some fizzy larger stuff. What I liked and all my friends did was the simplicity of the menu. Simple. Local food from local farms. Wonderful. I’ll be going again. Got to mention the hostess , who was a hoot.
I’ve been to the Witch Sow many times and have always enjoyed it there. I went back on 5th February and thought I would leave a review this time. Always a delight, food is delicious and would highly recommend you all stop by.
Lovely cosy stop off with friendly staff and good food. We hadn’t ordered a sweet but the waitress brought out a wee sweet treat which was a lovely finish to our visit. We’re not local but would def keep this pub on the list of places to pop back to:
