As soon as we did, we were told two things: no reservation on their books, and the kitchen is closed at 2:00. We could have saved the trip if the hotel had told us the night before, so we complained at the reception and they couldn't take care of our trouble less. The snow beach seemed wonderful on a sunny day, and the waiter was apologetic, but at the end our journey was ruined. You said we could go to the panoramic restaurant, but not the same. If you look at the website, the restaurant is open from 11 17 or maybe they could inform customers about the kitchen times or last orders. It's probably one of those places that don't care about reviews because the setting is so beautiful. ...u, just a word of warning for other travelers to check kitchen times.
One cannot imagine that a perfect place to enjoy a cocktail served peanuts in a silver bowl, a view of the sun over the valley below, the gentle chat of guests, the fog on the alpine flowers in front of you, and of...Gang, Read Thomas Mann. We couldn't tear away. And so there was nothing to order as another cocktail (in my case a whisky sour; for my husband, a Moscow Mule, which he cannot recommend strong enough), and then to order dinner. We ordered a different pasta dish and they were just as delicious. A slow walk through the Alps to Davos with the lights that swept before us was a perfect way to finish the evening.
We like to hike to the Schatzalp and then enjoy a delicious lunch in this restaurant. The view is fantastic. The furniture is a little old and the service is slow, but the food (flamcake) and the desserts are great and healthy, but also satisfied...after a long hike. Definitely leave room for dessert! And enjoy panoramic views while you are up there!
Take the cable car up, walk a bit and voila, a super view outdoor eatery. It was not cold, we had something to drink and some local dried meats etc.. and the fries seems to have been cooked in duck fat, wow fries. some walked...down, buddy and me took a sled down with not enough snow, but that's a different story.
Ein Muss für jeden Davos Besucher. Das Flair von Thomas Mann's Zauberberg.... Einmalig die Terrasse mit wunderbarem Panorama Blick.
