I asked specifically to have NO ONION in the dishes what did we get? spring onion AND onion, a double whammy, and lots of it, I saw the lady write it down too, must be the chef, did not care, or bypassed the comments altogether or translated it as extra onion, either way I could not eat the hokkien noodles which tasted like nothing, no flavor totally skimped on the oystersauce, it was just onion flavoured. the special fried rice was the same bland as hell, the dumplings were of the frozen processed variety and they did not pack any soy sauce or even ask if we needed it. We were in luxury accommodation for our 20th wedding anniversary and this meal brought it down, we had to eat it there was nothing else on open late, It made me think how bad locals in Daylesford have it in the way of Chinese food, feel for them. It was highly priced to for what we received. steer clear
On a two night stay we weren't interested in going out, nor were we interested in cooking ourselves so it was decided to have Chinese takeaway.Very generous serves of lemon chicken and Mongolian beef with a small special fried rice (modified) turned out to be more than ample for our needs.Just what was needed for the night ....
Food was nice we ordered special fried rice, lemon chicken, dim sim and mongolian noodles. Lemon chicken was made to perfection. Chicken was moist and there was a thin crispy layer of batter. Rice needed a little salt but other than that it was all very yummy. The waitress was very friendly and attentive.
I have my worst meal ever in my life. Rude and disgrace service. Got an extra charge of $5 for two glasses of tape water.
This was a take-away experience since my wife and I like to eat "at home", even if "home" is an air b'n'b place! It was a cold, wet and windy night so we couldn't be bothered getting dressed to go out. Found this place online and the menu is also an online ordering mechanism. You "tick" the item and enter quantity. It keeps a running total of the cost and the ordered items just like any other online merchant, and when you've selected all your items it asks if you want to pay online, or when you get to the store. The food was excellent. Service wasn't an issue since my only interaction with a human was to pay for and pick up the food. It was hot and delicious. I'd definitely go again.
