They make these rolls and ho fun on site and people come from afar to eat these dishes. We had the beef ho fun (beef with flat rice noodles) and a plate of each beef and roast pork rice noodles. My dining companions said their soya sauce that is poured just before eating the rice rolls were the tastiest in Wellington!!! That is some compliment. My nephew rated the roast pork/chicken on rice on his last visit as the best on the menu. There was also a cabinet of Southern Chinese cakes and dumpling which also looked very tempting. This restaurant is located inside the grocery shop and opposite Pak’n’save. Parking was easy to find. They charge for the Chinese tea here.
Been here a few times, had the ho fun, singapore noodles, rice rolls, beef tongue and tripe from the cabinet. All dishes were pretty good and you can get both chilli and soy sauces if you eat in or takeaway. The ho fun was my least favourite, not a heap of flavour in there but all the other dishes i would eat again for sure! Worth a visit, gets busy at lunch which is a good thing!!
The wanton soup dumplings and fried rice that we had was amazing! Can't wait to take my wife there to try it out!
Good supermarket with a variety of goods. Mainly Chinese ingredients and products but they also sell some products from Philippines, Korea, Thailand and Vietnam. And the restaurant serves delicious food, too. We especially love the crispy pork (perfectly seasoned), wonton soup (clear and clean soup. Really delicious and very comforting), pork buns (soft buns and delicious filling) and red bean buchi balls (crispy, not drenching in oil, delicious red bean filling).
Great supermarket. This places shows you how we get ripoff at the supermarkets with items like soy, vinegar, dumplings, spices, sauces, etc. Here at Yan's is way cheaper and also more interesting. I will be doing half of my supermarket at Yan's from now on
