Timing is everything, right? Well, it's finally time for me to share the truth about my local Burger King. I wish I could say otherwise, as Burger King is my preferred fast food chain, but after numerous, and I mean countless, disappointing experiences at this location—both with the food and the management—I have to be honest. This local Burger King, my hometown location, is by far the worst place to try to get a timely and decent meal. The management here is among the worst I’ve encountered, and the food quality is undeniably at the bottom of the list. It’s a shame that such a well-known brand has to endure this level of poor leadership, which results in subpar service and food served at a painfully slow pace. Tonight’s events have finally convinced me to speak up about what I’ve witnessed for too long. One bright spot was a young employee who was juggling multiple roles while the supposed manager vanished when the drive-thru got backed up. This young man kept the process moving forward and deserves a pay raise. To sum it up: I spent an hour and 15 minutes inside the restaurant. I was number 32 in line, and the three men ahead of me were number 30. The manager took my order at 8:07 PM, and at 8:32 PM, I asked about my order. It turned out my to-go order had been sitting there for 25 minutes, just waiting for someone to announce my number. The staff said it had been a busy evening, but it was shocking to see how few orders had been called out in that time. I tried to eat my meal inside, but my burger was cold, though at least the fries were good. My 81-year-old mother loves Burger King burgers, and honestly, that's the only reason I've tolerated this nonsense for so long. I was picking up her dinner, but I told her that, moving forward, I hope she’s okay with a Burger King burger that’s been in the fridge for a day because I don’t plan on returning to our local BK.
