Gold Star Chili - Dayton

Fantastic chili cheese koneys, also the parmesan garlicries are incredible.

The 4-way-wools and chili-käsehunden with jalapenos were good for this visit. gold star is not the best cincinnati style chili, but it is the best in dayton.

Food quality is good. worth is terrible. hot dog in coney was about the size of my fingers, no sweat. in two bites. wouldn't be a big thing if it wasn't $2. After I pulled out the empty rolls, I was disappointed with the coney in the picture below.

The chili was not bad. I went through the drive and they had only 1 milkshake left. That was weird. only 1 from the whole menu so that the children share one.

Since I tried Skyline a couple of weeks ago I naturally had to try Gold Star. It is amazing how similar these two establishments are in terms of the food offering, how the food is served, and how similar the flavor profiles are. Yes there are some subtle flavor differences; and I am sure die hard fans will argue otherwise, but I find either establishment to be equal and would have no specific dining preference between the two restaurants.
