Nanya Cafe - Dayton

I heard that everything on the menu was excellent, and everything we tried was indeed fantastic. If you're not a fan of onions or can't eat them, they can prepare dishes without them, but it does take a bit longer since almost every dish contains onions. I’m not sure what the bread or crepe was made from, but I really enjoyed it. You eat everything without cutlery; just tear off a piece of the bread or crepe and scoop up the food. The spice level is quite high—she offered homemade cottage cheese in case things got too spicy, but we didn’t need it. We’ll definitely be back!

I asked my friend to try Ethiopian food today! We both love Indian cuisine, so this was a perfect choice for us. I really enjoyed my vegetarian platter and the appetizers. The flavors and aromas were absolutely on point!

Very authentic Ethiopian cuisine. The food was good, but the bread was cold. Total good place. Friendly stuff. Clean environment.

Had the vegetable plate and everything was very good! Didn't expect the lentils to be spicy, but they weren't too hot. Be prepared to eat without utensils. You pick up your food with their special soft bread, which was excellent!

I didn't know this place existed and found them while trying to find some good vegan food without going to Cincinnati or Columbus. Don't know what's up with Dayton vegan options but we were very pleasantly surprised! The veggie combo was amazing and so was the service. The salad was a bit too tart for our tastes, but everything, and I do mean everything else was so good I'm pro ably going back today! Someone was texting me through messenger during our whole ride there making sure we would have the best experience possible and they told the truth when they said we would love it! Several of our favorites prepared with so much awesome flavor that we ordered more!! And the service was warm, helpful, fast, and friendly. Most definitely a new keeper on our weekly ventures out.
