Beer was very good. The disappointment was being served our food on an aluminum tray lined with parchment. No plates???? Really salad on paper???
Beer great. Two minor improvements are needed. 1) bar space is limited but the line in the middle to come up to place orders or to pay off your bill gets crowded because even though they may be three people behind the counter only one is up there at atime. 2) when the tasting room gets full since it has cinder block walls it gets pretty loud in there because everybody's tryingto talk over everybody else and have a regular conversation. A simple solution would be to at least hang something that's fabricor sound absorbing on the walls and that could be pictures or other things but something to stop the sound from echoing all overthe place. Black Pond Brews is an excellent place to be and the staff and everybody else's friendly, helpful wonderful... It'sjust these two little things that can help your business model run a little smoother and for everybody to be a bit quieter inthe room. The food offerings are good too but what happens again with that bottleneck at the bar for all orders you may belosing out on the volume of orders because a waiting line of a few people deep occurs.
I typically prefer bourbon but enjoy the occasional beer, especially IPAs. I must say, the Pale Ale at this restaurant is truly exceptional. The Flight Boy Summer pale ale is fantastic. If this is what a Pale Ale is supposed to taste like, then IPAs need to step up their game. Thank you for a great experience! I have tried many IPAs in my search for a beer I enjoy, and this one is it. Definitely worth trying!
Black Pond Brews offers a more cozy and intimate atmosphere compared to other breweries I have visited. The menu was excellent, featuring unique choices such as the Wiener schnitzel. We enjoyed sitting by the window and appreciated the selection of games available. My fiancé loved their flagship IPA, "Moves", and we were impressed by the soft pretzel bites and flavorful pork cutlets. While we wished the pretzels came with beer cheese, the mustard butter was tasty. The gravy on both the poutine and the wiener schnitzel was outstanding. There was limited outdoor seating with a corn hole set, and we were happy to see that they welcomed dogs outside.
