I had the Malabar chicken biriyani with egg and it was absolutely tasty .
Good, standard and decent quality keralite food with friendly staffs. Ample parking just around the area. Quick service and pocket friendly too.
A small restaurant. I like the pothi chore available here. It is really good. You can get varieties of Kerala Style food. Just try out Pothi Chore available here
I have tried their set dosa and a parotta for breakfast and their podhichoru for lunch. All taken as parcel. I personally go and get it. I honestly don 't have the patience for home delivery from any restaurant. The set dosa comes with 3 dosas and coconut chutney and sambar. It was surprisingly good. Most restaurants just water down the sambar. But this sambar had a good consistency and taste. So was the coconut chutney too. I don 't usually eat porotta but you can 't ever review a Kerala restaurant without trying the Kerala porotta and beef fry. :D Well for this review I have changed the rules since I haven 't tried their beef fry yet. But I definitely needed to write this review for one particular thing... I 'll come to that in a moment. Speaking of the porotta, it was fresh and hot and soft (Impressive). Even though I am not a fan of porotta I still liked it. Now the game changer! This is the reason I had to review this restaurant. The Podhichoru (Lunch packed in banana leaf). I have heard they had a very good Podhichoru but Holy Molly!!! This was not very good! This was EXCELLENT!! MAGNIFICENT!! This was a blast of taste in the mouth. Foodgasmic! Took me back home in Kerala to my home to my dinner table having mom cooked lunch. The Podhichoru consisted of Kerala red rice, one egg omelette, one chala (sardine) fish fry, avial (mixed vegetables), mango pickle, spicy coconut chutney, meen thoran (fish cooked till it breaks down to tiny pieces along with grated coconut and spices), pappad, sambar, fish curry, Moru curry/pulissery and payasam. And a single Podhichoru serves two at a cost of just Aed13. I give this Podhichoru 5/5. I could minus a .5 for the payasam cause I am not a fan of the same but no, this truly deserves a 5/5. In brief: Dosa set 3.5/5 Porotta 3.5/5 Podhichoru 5/5 (A must try) Mutton biryani 2.5 (didn 't mention it above cause it was not worth mentioning. Tasteless rice. Two small pieces of bony meat)
