The cafe had a basic atmosphere, and the prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. I ordered the shepherd's pie, which had a delicious filling, creamy mashed potatoes, and tasty mushy peas for $15. I usually dislike mushy peas because they tend to be overcooked, but these were excellent and still had a fresh pea flavor, with a hint of mint. I also purchased a pricey juice for $4, but I was aware of the cost.
A relaxing decent cafe, clean and spacious. Healthy food, attentive and friendly staff. Must try the dessert, delicious and under priced LOL, I ordered the freshly made chocolate mousse which is just $4.3!
Huge place with plenty of tables, we got here at 1:15pm on an rainy day for lunch. There were a lot to choose from! Got the Beef cheeseburger and it arrives promptly. The patty is medium rare and the burger came with Salad and fries. Definitely a very filling meal. <br/ <br/ Definitely something for everyone.
It was pleasing to finf that despite the absence of any competition, the QTC does quite well as a large and high traffic flow cafe. The meals were generously sized, and the staff were polite and efficient. Decor is comfortable, but the range of alcohol options was surprisingly limited. Overall, it was nice to be able to visit Parliament without feeling the need to then go elsewhere for lunch.
Lots of seats, whether indoors, outdoors on the terrace, or there's also a more secluded indoor section with couches. Those inside seats by the windows get a nice view north. Counter service, self service water and cutlery. Originally thought about a bahn mi but upon seeing the items on display, decided they didn't look anywhere near authentic and went instead with a house made lasagne. Food was served within 15 minutes nice and hot. The actual lasagne was very dry (as in no sauce) taste was ok though I would've preferred more sauce.
