V Gonella's Original Deli - Dearborn

This is the way a sub should taste. Years ago I was working downtown and the guys sent out for subs from the OLD Gonella's. I went to the store once and, being Italian, was overjoyed at the sights and smells of this store. Gonella sold this store and when I returned, it wasn't the same. The sandwiches weren't the same but V Gonella's in Dearborn is the son and his sandwiches are the originals. This is the way a sub SHOULD taste.Good price, too, but get in line early for lunch because a lot of people come over from Ford Motor with the same idea.

Love the sandwiches but can never get them. Wondering if there is updated hrs? I’ve tried to go there last two days and they were closed by 330 :

I have been a customer for many many years. On, July 17, 2023, I ordered 3 subs. I ordered extra lettuce on all of them. When we started eating them, we noticed that some of the shredded lettuce was rotten. I thought about it and decided to call Gonella's.A young girl answered the phone and I explained to her my calling. She said she was sorry and asked if I would like to talk to a manager. I said sure. She put me on hold, I held for a minute and then my phone went dead. They never called me back or anything.They are going downhill serving rotten food and poor communication. I feel someone should have called me back and addressed my issue.
