Excellent fish, their own trout, raised in a basins of mountain river water. They have also a carp and meat specialties. Macedonian and shopska salads are always from fresh vegetables and white sheep cheese. One star less is because we ordered a half kilogram trout for each but they were about 350 to 400 grams, not 500 grams. The waiter said that it is what he gets from the kitchen. They have plenty of trouts and should give the customers even little bigger fish, but never smaller.

This is a destination restaurant off the beaten trail, but was highly recommended. As my rating shows, I wasn't very impressed. The farm raised trout was meaty and good, but that's about it. Most of the local items on the menu weren't available, including the local wines. So, I could have gotten a farm raised trout in Ohrid and saved the drive. That would be my recommendation.
