Ihop - Decatur

Let me start with, It was busy when we got there. We waited about 10 minutes for a table understandable) The front end staff was great, the kitchen staff need retraining. I ordered the Breakfast Sampler, eggs over medium, bacon and hashbrowns crispy. The eggs were over hard and the bacon was limp. I informed the server about the eggs and she said she would have them replaced, another lady brought out the refired eggs and they were over easy. The pancakes I like to eat last) hadn't even melted the butter that was in between them.

IHOP is our go to and this Texas location was awesome. Staff was super friendly and food was quick and hot to the table.

Great late night option for my and my little girl to hang out and eat. The waitress was great, she was very engaging and since it was almost empty in there other than us and 2 other tables, she was able to take fantastic care of us and talk with us the whole time we were there.

So I visit this location about 6 to 10 times a year. Normally, it would be 5 stars all around, but tonight was the exception. We waited 8 minutes before anyone even acknowledged we were standing there,(a lot of the waitstaff looked at us, but never came over or said a word) then about 5 more minutes before we were seated. If they had been really busy, this would 've been expected, but they only had about 6 tables of 3 or 4 patrons to 4 waitstaff. A group of about 3 waiters/waitresses were very loudly complaining about a superior staff member who had just left, and while they weren 't cursing, the language was not dinner conversation. This seemed to happen over and over as they passed one another or remembered something else that bugged them. We were never offered or brought water at any time. Our meals looked very thrown together, and my cinastack pancakes looked like they forgot what they were, so they just poured the filling on top like syrup and left the crossing drizzle off completely. My coffee was never refilled or offered to be. All in all, this was one of my worst experiences at this location, and if this group of staff is the new normal, I won 't be coming back.

Patrick was the best waiter I have ever had the pleasure of being serviced by. Definately will go back...
