Kansas City Barbeque Pit - Decatur

Everything we had was beyond our expectations. Along with the bbq the smoked potatoes and green beans are out of this world. Definitely recommend. So glad to have something so good on this side of town!!!

We are just visiting from GA. but wanted to try a local restaurant. We are usually hesitant on new restaurant, and when we arrived there's a sign saying best BBQ in town, and we've seen many signs stating that or something else and it's a disappointment. but this place. let me tell you, smelled good when we walked in, we all got the brisket nachos which were amazing, their BBQ sauce is the best I've ever had, same with their coleslaw. my niece loved the Mac and cheese. cornbread was great. so was their brisket sandwich. we got a lot of food, but it all came out quickly and for how much we got, the price was amazing. we will be returning

I had an amazing experience at a barbecue restaurant in Decatur, Illinois. It was my first visit, and I was impressed by the variety of options available, so I went with the small plate. However, it ended up being way more food than I could handle in one sitting, and I saved the leftovers for later. I highly recommend giving it a try—I'm definitely going back!

The staff at this restaurant is incredibly friendly, and they serve the best BBQ in town. My family truly appreciated their willingness to prepare a smoked turkey for us instead of the ham they were originally offering for Christmas 2021. When I picked it up, it was vacuum sealed, which preserved all the flavor and juices until we reheated it the next day. It was absolutely delicious!
