The music and the different scents really helped transport me to an island vibe. My favorite part of the whole experience was just relaxing and trying to look at everything on the shelves behind the bar. You can purchase any of the tiki mugs on the shelves and it was so cool to see what all they have. The seating included bar stools, large comfy booths for large parties and a nice outdoor area. I would highly recommend SOS if your a tiki fan!
My friend wanted us to dress up in our Hawaiian outfits and celebrate her birthday here. It's a cute tiny bar/restaurant with heated outdoor seating. We were seated in under 30 minutes. They ordered drinks and we ordered some appetizers. Unfortunately, the butter from the $3 bread and butter dish immediately upset my stomach although it was very tasty! We took pictures and had fun but opted to have dinner at a nearby restaurant. Unique menu.
We have been here countless times. It gets very crowded quickly but hey work hard to keep things moving. They do have lots of seating outside with nice heaters for the colder days. The bar tenders are great. The drinks are delicious. They also have an excellent selection of rums that they will help teach you about. We love Tiki bars and this one is one of our favorites we have been to. I wanted to write this review because though we have been there many times for drinks and for their Christmas themed pop up (the best Christmas theme bar in the city) we never eat when we are here. We tried the Yardbird j chicken which was very tasty and the hand pies. Oh the hand pies were so good. You get a beef pie and a chicken pie. Both excellent. I can’t wait to come back and try the other food now!
Well this was fun. My adult daughter discovered this place and took us during our most recent visit. It's a tiny little bar hidden between two buildings. The brick sidewalk with tropical plants paints an intimate atmosphere as you approach the outdoor host station. There are a half dozen tables outdoor. Inside there are four booths and maybe ten seats at the bar. The main reason to visit are all the tiki rum drinks in cool looking glasses. Each one costs $15-20, so it's not inexpensive. Our favorite drink was Black Magic which included demera run, bourbon, cinnamon, vanilla, honey, lime and coffee. At first we were not sure about the coffee, but it blends beautifully with the rest of the ingredients. They have a very limited Asian fusion menu, but what they do have is awesome. The Tokyo Fries with sriracha mayo was so good. The chili garlic dumplings were fried and full of flavor. My cauliflower bang bang bowl was fantastic. Service is polite and engaging, but also slow. Huge thumbs up to this place. There are a couple of things to consider if you plan to visit. They are only open from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM Wednesday through Sunday. That's a very narrow period of time and with it being so tiny your chances of getting into the place could be difficult. I would not recommend groups of more than four people. There is a one-person bathroom that everyone uses creating long lines to get in. Parking for the whole area can be rough. You may be walking a few blocks to get here.
