Arrived in prime lunch hour on a Friday. Place seats about 30 plus another couple of tables on the sidewalk. There were four people having coffee. Free parking on street outside location on the main street of town. They offer a wide variety of coffee and coffee clones, served in styrofoam cups from a self-serve display counter. No hot food being offered. We purchased two sub-type sandwiches which were pre-made and wrapped in plastic on display in a cooler counter, so they were about as cold as a cold sandwich can get. My salami sandwich was passable but the salami was cut too thick for easy eating and would have benefitted from being made with more cuts of a thinner slice - the quantity of meat was fine - just too thick for such a chewy sausage. Both my spouse and I discarded most of the large buns. Her chicken sandwich contained a couple of thick slices of chicken white meat which she ate while leaving the cold bun behind. With tax our bill for 2 subs and one coffee was over $22.00; rather pricy for pre-packaged cold sandwiches. A few people came, purchased coffee to go and left while we were there. Seems to be functioning mainly as a coffee shop and local meeting place but not really as a full restaurant. We will not come here again for a lunch and certainly not for dinner but would likely stop by for a coffee on occasion. Place was neat and clean

Lunch on a chilly day must fill the body and replenish the energy levels with good wholesome victuals that excite the pallet and stimulate the desire to engage the bodies basic needs. The Bean House does exactly that with a hearty homemade soup that appropriately was called Chicken a la King. I had a great egg salad sandwich as well and while I ate contemplated the interesting art work that decorated the walls. No complaints just a a really good culinary reward!
