We revisited Mai's restaurant for our friend's birthday celebration. The food was freshly prepared by hand and incredibly delicious. The portions were generous and the sauce was outstanding!

If you are traveling from Texas to Miami, I would recommend stopping in Defuniak Springs. It is a great halfway point to spend the night, and my family has stayed there twice during our travels.

Carolyn, the owner of this restaurant, has faced personal challenges that make it hard for her to keep the doors open every night. Despite this, if the restaurant is open, it is a wonderful dining experience that should not be missed.
