When I asked for a personal recommendation I got a very bland and generic answer, with an annoyed tone. When I asked for clarification she repeated her words exactly in a more annoyed voice. I was taken off by this… the barista made me feel like why the heck did you ask that question, stop wasting my time. Got my drinks smiled, said thank you, no response. Last time I’m paying 10$ for an overpriced not good drink. Owner was there but wasn’t nice either.
Adorable little coffee shop that popped up on my Instagram page to check out. Located in Del mar, near board and Brew restaurant. I will say the coffee shop was a little bit smaller than Instagram made it up here, which fair enough reality versus Instagram is usually not the same. Nonetheless, it was a very adorable coffee spot! They have regular sets of tables, as well as Moroccan/Turish style floor seating, which is where I decided to sit. It's a very chill, and relaxing vibe, if you want to go there for a few hours to work or with some friends to socialize. They have a ton of their own Turkish style coffees and teas. I tried it there Bohemian latte with almond milk and honey rose. Highly recommend trying a Turkish style coffee while you're here.
Not worth the price. Nothing right in the order... ? sad, i was hoping a nice place with good arabic coffee.
This place sucks… how are you going to take 30 minutes to make a coffee and not provide WIFI. The ambiance is super cute but unfortunately, studying and working require WIFI. It’s 2024, level up.
3.5 stars 3 stars for the drinks and the food options and 0.5 stars for the ambiance. The Bohemian Alchemist shows up on my social media all the time so I finally decided to check it out. As with any place that seems to show up on social media all the time, I was a little disappointed with the experience. The ambiance is beautiful. The interior is a shout out to the middle eastern decor with low seating on gaddis , elaborate pillows, curtains, wooden tables and chairs with some interesting work on them, and metallic utensils, etc.The menu is very limited. They have a Turkish coffee, an Egyptian coffee, a chai, a latte version of the coffee, pour over/French press/cold brew, and some herbal options. They say they have baked goods, but those were also very limited and primarily sweet. I did feel that the blueberry tart I got wasn 't freshly baked in the morning. My friend liked the Turkish coffee. There was a Turkish delight presented with it. That is nice, of course, but not something that I 've seen happen in Turkey. So, it felt like a forced Turkish obviousness. I 'm not a big fan of how strong that coffee is, so I went with the Bohemian latte which was pretty good, but probably needs a sweeter element that is not sugar.Their MO is the sand brewed coffee. So, that is all I would recommend this place for. If you want a better coffee shop experience with Turkish coffee, you may want to look for something else.
