Immediately after the entrance we were greeted politely by the hostess and decided to sit at the bar. Their diversity of Tequila was admirable, and we will definitely have to return for a margarita. Salsa came fast and was fresh, quite tasty but relatively mild. Chickens contain normal green paprika and onions, but also mushrooms and tomatoes with all fixations. My favourite was the Chori Pollo, a combination of chicken and chorizo, served with rice (very tasty), one side of the acidic cream, salad and pico de gallo. Everything surprisingly fresh and tasty. On the chicken and chorizo combo was a full of queso blanco, and there were some grilled onions scattered through the meat. For the price this is a wonderful place right in Delaware. There is also a small parking lot behind the restaurant, which helps the always difficult parking situation in Delaware. Can't wait to go back!
The food in this restaurant is really good. The service was below average. We had to ask several times for refills on drinks and chips and it took a while to get them. No one checks if the food was right or if we needed anything. The restaurant was not so busy and there were many people working. We even had to find one to get the bill.
After starving for Mexican food in Vermont for 6 years, we were so excited to move to Delaware and find this authentic Mexican restaurant in downtown. It quickly launched to the #1 spot in my family and we have returned a dozen times in the last few months. Food always wonderful, very generous with (warm) chips and salsa and friendly wait staff. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for good Mex food.
The vibe, the people, the food. Everything was incredible. The wait staff was on it and filled with personality. The flavors of the food were amazing and the ingredients were so fresh. Will be back 100%.
We lived in the area for almost three years to find a Mexican restaurant closer than Cuco in Columbus. Overall, this small place is pretty good. We loved salsa, definitely homemade. Husband had a beef chimichanga, his plate cleaned. I tried chicken enchilada. Was okay, needed more sauce and it was just simple chicken in a flour tortilla. We will come back, but I will order a little more “oomph”. (You have to go back to Cuco again and again as they have the best fish tacos!
