I’m absolutely lost as to how a server could be as completely out of touch as he was with our table. Upon sitting down, our waiter stood beside our table and very awkwardly asked, “Drinks?” I didn’t think much of it until I saw him go to every other table and give a full introduction, engage in conversation, and warmly greet other guests. The rest of our entire dinner he hardly checked up on us, but was adamant on taking care of every other table. We attempted to get his attention many times but he literally would not look at us. I kid you not he kept his eyes up the entire time and basically pretended we weren’t there. We had to ask a busser for rolls, even though they were given to the other tables by our waiter long before us (they had arrived after us). A food runner brought my mother her order of prime rib and lobster, and the cup of butter on the plate must have accidentally spilled onto the plate and she asked if she could have a different one because the prime rib was completely soiled with butter. He immediately took the plate away to fix it, but our waiter stopped him and told him to just pour the butter out! I’m happy that the food runner ignored him and brought her a brand new cut of meat. It was also my mother’s birthday, and I heard them singing to another table. I really hoped they would do the same for her. I was wrong. A girl very solemnly dropped an ice cream sundae with a candle on it and walked away. We all sang to her at our table but it was still not the same. The food was perfect in every way, but the service honestly ruined my mom’s birthday. What a shame that the service was so poor, it doesn’t reflect the quality of the meal whatsoever. Update: I am not this kind of person, and I have never called a manager before under any circumstance, but I really wanted to let them know that I was truly so disappointed in the service tonight. She, too, was so rude over the phone I couldn’t believe that a manager would talk that way to a customer. She basically accused us of lying about our poor service and that none of this is a real problem. I’m truly just shocked at the lack of care. I am a server at another establishment so I know how a dining experience should be, and this was a terrible excuse of a dinner service. I can see how the manager’s attitude reflects on their staff. Best wishes to the one food runner that actually gave a care.
Amazing. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. Dietary restrictions: It would be great to have more gluten free options. Having dietary restrictions should not restrict someone's enjoyment with so many options available.
Old fashion drinks were not old fashions, used lemon rather than orange and nothing was muddled. Then tried to say it was and orange...we even showed them the lemon and orange slices. Forgot 1 of our salads and 1 of our sodas and over cook one of our steaks. For a dinner experience that is well over 400 dollars for a family of 5, it was a terrible experience.
So great! I have been coming to the Dells for 40 years and this is by far my favorite place. It's a bit of a modern supper club and so well decorated. My wife and I get there before our reservation (yes they take reservations-such a plus) to sit in a very elaborate bar. The food and the service has never disappointed. It's not cheap but it's in line for the food served. Their prices are typically a little less than some of their competitors. It's our go to place every summer and it should be yours too. You won't be disappointed. Parking: Plenty of parking. Kid-friendliness: I see many families there and the service is pretty quick which keeps the peace with the kids.
Super friendly Staff. Awesome atmosphere. We had pizza, Caesar salad, dry-aged New York strip, and creme brulee. The only comment I would have is that the steak was lacking seasoning. The flavor of the dry-age was great, it just needed some salt. Other than that, everything was amazing.
