The food network did a feature on this restaurant and it's mostly authentic Japanese cuisine. They don't give you a lot of food but it's structured like fine dining where you just get a little taste of everything. They also have Japanese beverages like the Rasmune soda which was more like something for kids but still worth trying (It tastes like bubblegum).
Beautiful presentation and delicious!!! Vegetarian options, ice cold beer, boba tea. We had the Classic and Vegetarian Binto Boxes. So much food and so good!!!
Beautiful place. I got the crispy pork with rice and it was delicious. Complemented by the magnificent view of the water and foliage. There were gigantic koi fish near the restaurant. They had huge mouths with no teeth … I got an idea.
Went for the first time with my 7 year-old to the gardens. After our walk we were looking forward to eat some of our Japanese favorites, specially takoyaki, but we had to settle with the options available. A great thing was that they had miso soup, gyoza, and taro bubble tea, some of my child overall food faves. I read in the menu that they have karaage but they just look like chicken nuggets, not the breaded crispy juicy pieces of fried chicken I know as karaage. I guess the menu is catered to the tastes of the locals and great comforting Japanese food like soba, yakitori, takoyaki, udon, oden, okonomiyaki and tonkatsu are missing from the menu.
As a member, it's always a treat to eat lunch at the Cornell Cafe. It overlooks the lake and its a beautiful atmosphere. Well worth the trip!Food: 5/5
