New Ruby Restaurant Ltd - Delta

It’s been a year since my last poor review of this restaurant, and nothing has changed....just picked up 2 dish orders, one just ok, one terrible. Sorry, but until I see a new management sign, or new cook, I won’t be back!! Simple blk bean n beef on rice noodles....beef tough, not flat big rice noodles, but very thin noodles, and no black bean sauce!! Tasteless, awful!!

Pretty standard stuff. Restaurant was clean and hostess was friendly. Food was ok but could be better

I am sorry to say this restaurant has really gone downhill. Greasy and soggy food. Manager took two dollars off the bill after we left the food uneaten. First time I have been in a Chinese restaurant that didn’t at least offer tea. A waste of time and money.

I live just 2 blocks away and have eaten here or picked up for take out, for over 15 years. The service is good, but the prices have gone way up and the quality and quantity of the food way down! I don't have too much choice around here, but will not return. Even on simple tomato and beef on rice, the beef was very tough. I'm sorry, this is only my 5th poor rating in over 500 reviews!

We have been occasional customers of this place for several years. Last weekend we ordered take-out. The service is generally very good when you call in and this was no exception. It was easy to place the order and they give you a small discount for paying cash. We've found that the quality is really hit and miss regardless of the management situation. Sometimes we swear off this place only to get the munchies and cave in for another order. This time around we noticed they've gone to breaded, small shrimp (they're not prawns) and have more vegetables in the fried rice. The won-ton soup broth is almost flavourless. So, I guess we've sworn off the place again until the next time we can't resist and place an order. You can do worse than this place but you can also do a lot better.
