My husband has the Texas Storm which was good but the meat was a little dry. We were sad there was no ice cream available.
This nondescript little restaurant is a gem. Very friendly staff and delicious food. We stopped on our way north on I65 for a late lunch. Had the gyros and they were perfect! Highly recommend stopping here on your travels north of south.
It's a shame they're closed. The food and service were great. I believe that being closed for two consecutive days negatively impacted them. I suspect high rent is a significant factor, as many landlords in the area are charging excessive rates, which drives good businesses away!
I stopped by for lunch today on my way to Chicago, but unfortunately, the restaurant was closed and the building is up for rent. What a shame, as it seemed like a nice, straightforward spot. It’s really disappointing that it’s no longer open.
I enjoyed their current lunch special while passing by. The deal included a burger, fries, and a large drink for just $7.25. The burger was a good size, likely around half a pound. It was soft and had a slight pink center, but overall it was cooked well. Topped with American cheese and all the fixings (they'll add whatever you want), it made for a tasty burger! The fries were slightly crispy and flavorful. For the price, it was pretty decent. The service was friendly, and since I arrived around 1 PM, after the lunch rush, the place wasn't busy, which was expected. I can’t comment on the restrooms or dining area since I ordered to go while I was in the area to set up my camper. Overall, it's a solid spot that I would recommend for a quick bite.
