I have been coming here for a couple weeks now and I must say it is the best cafe on the street. Definitely my go to as a student at UNT. The coffee is a step above the neighboring coffee shops and the feel of the place is chill, welcoming, and a little wacky with all the decoration (which is a good thing). Glad I was able to find this place as my new residential cafe to read, relax, and get work done.Hope this place prospers and if how busy they seem today as I write this is any indication then I think their future looks good. Thank you for having your doors open.
I’m sorry but the reopen is such a disappointment. the servers are nice but i miss the old concept of them actually waiting the tables. the experience was more personable and welcoming due to the amazing staff. now the atmosphere is a bit awkward and stagnant. the newer staff could barely find our table number (with there only being two other tables to serve). the food is a overpriced for what you get. i paid $3 for a overcooked diced waffle covered in sugar and cinnamon (churro waffles). like be fr, and just for me to find out they were giving out free samples in the same portion of what i just ordered! i miss the old menu that actual had meals. the snack/cafe vibe doesn’t work for this place, especially not for the price.
A fabulous little gem on Fry Street! The staff is so wonderful and caring and the menu is priced great and caters exactly to my wants/needs as a broke college student! Full drink menu and all day breakfast are always a hit, and the Hard Passion Tea is my personal recommendation. Can’t wait to come back!Edit:Flying Squirrel’s reopening has more than impressed me. The quality improvements, the speed of service, the atmosphere, the menu, and especially the coffee feels much more upgraded than before. I’m very happy they were able to rework their ideas into a more sustainable format. Pictured here is the Cappuccino Crunch my new favorite coffee in Denton!
This place was amazing! We loved the food and it’s such a welcoming place. The server was awesome and friendly. It is a chill place with a great vibe. Our server recommended their fries which did NOT disappoint. They are seriously amazing. Everything we tried was amazing. This was my husband's favorite stop on our trip through Denton.
OMG! Found our new favorite spot!!!! I was lured in with the summer special of $1 mimosas (limit 3 pp) and free app (homemade chips, fries, or chips and salsa), the awesome pics of super tasting food, and mostly good reviews! The prices are pretty reasonable and the food is freaking amazing!!! The stuffed grill chz had sooooo much flavor and just melted in my mouth, like cotton candy! The tacos we got had soooo much meat and the tortilla was soft to bend, but crispy as well, just the right mixture! The pancakes were soooo huge and had such a good flavor, almost like cupcakes, even without butter or syrup! The fries were battered and were perfect! And the ranch was so good and thick, it had to be homemade! Overall 3 meals, a few mimosas, and an extra cupcake to go and just barely made it to $30. Not bad at all!!!! And the service is amazing! The man that waited on us had such a great personality and seemed to really love his job. He even gave us a cupcake on the house, such a sweetheart! Everything was so amazing! 10 stars! Support local.... support small business! Can't wait to go back and try more awesome food!!!? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
