Ignite Kitchen Cocktails - Denver

We always come to light! The food is delicious, the drinks are great, and the staff is always friendly! I recommend trying their truffles! We love to come to the Trivia Night on Wednesday, it is always a fun time and the whole day happy hour cannot beat!!

We arrived at our reservation on time at 7:00 and immediately sat at our reserved table in the corner. We sat 17 minutes before we were even recognized by the waiting team that we were even there, I know this is not standard practice or suitable for any restaurant). After we finally had a server, we quickly ordered our drinks and food as we had to go before. ANNEX Our food lasted another 15 minutes ~12 minutes is restaurant standard for dinner service). My drink was extremely watered and I had to ask for a substitute drink, as the incubator was out and the server did not notice and served me easily incubator flavored water. The food tasted great, but we had to wait a few extra minutes to even get silverware. At the time when we paid our cheque at 7:50, that was the first half-hearted apology that we received with the explanation of "usually not as this one and we were only slurred in the last minute." There was trivia night to go, which was distracted by the experience and while the restaurant WAS quite full, a friendly confirmation and consistent check-ins as well as predicting the needs of each table is mandatory as a server. Overall, with the time and money spent for this experience, it was a pretty underwhelming experience for a first visit. Not a good first impression.

Food and drinks were good, but service was extremely slow. They seemed to be short staff on a Saturday night. Almost 30 minutes to get our first drinks after we ordered them.

We went for the restaurant-week deal and feel like we have great value. The apps came in half-sizes, but the pimento fritters and candied bacon were the best dishes of the night. The burgers were loaded and very good, but felt more like a bold, step-up-from-divebar burger than a gourmet burger, for which Ignite is supposedly known. Unfortunately, the service was incredibly slow, in addition to our server shows little hospitality. We had a good meal for the evening, but in Denver's crowded restaurant market, we did not find a compelling reason to revise in the future.

Overwhelmed waitstaff. Food was enjoyable. Took 30 minutes to get beer. Selected Restaurant Week option and dessert was 1 hr 20 minutes after arrival. Table next to us was just as slow.
