Ronin Lowry - Denver

We came to celebrate my man and were once. we ordered the Omakase menu and mentions twice that o not eat bark. our server assured me that we could do it without bark meat and they would adapt something for me. we received not 1, but two bark dishes. I reminded him that I did not eat bark and they said it was for my man (they forgot) but that would be it. we also have a sushi roll with bark meat. it was a over 400 dollar meal, so I was missed on some of the courses, especially when it was discussed several times and we were sure it was not a problem. otherwise- the fish was amazing and we loved the sushi! we will be back, but the Grandmakase menu will do again.

Friendly staff ingenious cook. great experience overall

Delicious food in a family-friendly environment. I really enjoyed the meal and our server, but the atmosphere wasn't quite what I had anticipated. Nearly every table had at least two children under ten, and there was a large TV prominently displayed, which seems to be a common feature in Denver restaurants. Having previously dined at Ronin in Congress Park, I expected a similar vibe. Although the food was excellent, the ambiance didn't match my vision for a New Year's Eve date night.

The food was excellent, the service was exceptional, and the restaurant itself was clean and modern.

Ronin has a casual, café-like ambiance that feels welcoming. The all-wood chairs were decent, but I wouldn't necessarily call them comfortable. While I expect this at the bar, I was hoping for a bit more cushion at the tables. The bartender was friendly, but he was so engrossed in chatting with other patrons that he overlooked my partner's needs, such as refilling our empty drinks. The sushi itself was delicious, especially the hand-wrapped salmon rolls, which I really enjoyed. However, considering the price, I found the portion sizes to be on the smaller side. I felt satisfied, but my partner ended up stopping for snacks on the way home. We’ll give this place another shot, but I think it’s better suited for a girls' night out rather than a romantic date night.
