Filomena's Lakeview - Deptford

Had my daughter in the baby shower of the law at filomena. the food was delicious! my guests have put the food in. the personal was very accommodating! I would recommend filomena for any special occasion.

Great atmosphere. Great food! My husband got the steak frite' with parmesan truffle fries, I got the tortellini and scallops. Both entrees were delicious. The steak and scallops were both cooked perfectly. The bread was fresh and we enjoyed the sauteed green pepper dip too. It was a really enjoyable experience. And we beat the crowd which was an added bonus.

Service was great, restrooms clean. Food was good, but not great. Food was very expensive. I ordered the penne bolgnese fra diablo...it was good, but nothing to rant and rave over. Two other folks in my party got steaks, they said they were ok. I prefer Bottos in Swedesboro or The Italian Affair in Glassboro. There is a nice bar. We were seated in the first floor room to the left...VERY loud. It was very diffocult to hear the other folks in my party. They have a nice outdoor patio. I didnt see the upstairs, but im told its very nice. Parking lot is big...plenty of room for a Monday night. Friday or Saturday...im not so sure. They have very good chipotle garlic tobasco, but the lid/top of the bottle was nasty. I cleaned it off...but i check that at every restaraunt...if condiment bottles arent cleaned...thats not a great sign. The chairs in the left room are very uncomfortable...wood with a very sharp angle. Mens room was clean.

The other day, I had food from this restaurant for my trip. I have eaten here several times and I absolutely love the food. The last time I ate here (in December), I wasn't very hungry so I ordered the chicken alfredo. After taking a bite, I couldn't stop eating it because it was so delicious. I have also gotten takeout from here twice before leaving work and picking it up on my way home. I feel like maybe there are different chefs because the taste wasn't exactly the same as when I ate in the restaurant in December, but it was still very tasty. I try to order on different days hoping to get the same chef as in December. My boss brings us here every year in December and it is the highlight of my year. I am looking forward to coming back this year. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the food is always perfect.

We called for same day reservations for a party of 6 11:30 am. when they opened. We were told the only available table was upstairs. I explained that my husband was handicapped and used a cane. After checking she came back to tell me that it was 8:00PM everything else was booked. We arrived at 7:45, with no place to park until some one left. We sat in the lobby until 8:20. We were seated at a table that was a side entrance/ exit for the wait staff. We were very near the front door. Every time there was an exit or entrance to the restaurant there was a gust of cold air, the room was incredibly noisy.Conversations had to be repeated because no one could hear. The waitress took our order and disappeared. One appetizer came out wrong because she misunderstood crab balls for crab soup. The salad was wilted and looked like it was made hours ago.Our entrees finally came out at 9:30. My entree had undercooked potatoes I did not like the sauce. We finally left at 10:00. It was a terrible experience. I personally would not recommend and definitely won't go back.
