First time here since before the pandemic. My friends and I (group of to come as it had recently been refurbished and we haven’t been able to all meet due to restrictions. On arrival found a table went to place our order. Only on with quiet a few people waiting to order. We waited quiet a long time for our food to arrive but we were happily chatting. When the food arrived we were all very disappointed and shocked. the posh fish fingers sandwiches were shocking. I had one thin fish finger cut in half in between cheap white bread I had upgraded to sweet potatoes fries. Which weren’t worth the extra My bill came to including a soft drink. other fish fingers sandwiches were all the same cut in half thin fish finger. One lady returned her chicken wrap as it was one tiny nugget. The manger did come over explains these are the portion sizes. We all felt it was extremely poor quality and value. I will not be returning or eat at this chain of pub.
The food is fantastic, and the staff is very friendly and always happy to chat. They always have great drink recommendations for customers who can't decide.
My partner and I chose to dine out on Valentine's Day, as we live very close to The Broadway and were eager to see the recent renovations. We were thoroughly impressed with the new look of the place and the food exceeded our expectations. We both ordered the rump steak, which was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. Our waitress was lovely, knowledgeable and helped make our experience unforgettable. I would highly recommend this hidden gem!
Underwhelming. We ordered our lunch and paid, and then someone came and told us there was only one prwan cocktail. Ordered a cheaper starter instead but no adjustment to the bill offered. Prawn cocktail and battered mushrooms starter arrived, mushrooms were very hard andioydkt creme...cheese dip was solid. No dressing offered for meagre side salad. Prawn cocktail ok but butter frozen solid. Waited...and waited ...and waited for the mains. When I eventually went to chase it up, I was met with blank looks. The server came and told us there was a bit of a backlog and it would be five minutes. Fifteen minutes later the mains arrived. It was obvious our order had bern lost. The mains were pale undercooked sausages, and my kale and lentil pie came with frozen mixed veg and a large expanse of empty plate. When the server asked how our meal was, we said it was pretty disappointing and he agreed!
