Hodgkinson's - Derbyshire Dales

We visited this restaurant for my birthday in March and returned last week to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We are looking forward to another visit before Christmas. It is a truly beautiful place with a lovely host and wonderful breakfast.

We selected Matlock for a relaxing getaway and were looking for a hotel with a warm atmosphere and charm. We found both at the Hodgkinson Hotel. Hosts Chris and Zoe always greeted us with a smile. The food was excellent, be sure to make a reservation. The hotel is full of history with original features. We loved our stay and will definitely be returning. -Darren and Caz

We recently took a three-day break from May 22nd, and from start to finish, our stay was excellent. The breakfast options were exceptionally diverse, catering to everyone's tastes. We also dined at the restaurant in the evening, which was outstanding with excellent service. The hotel's decor reflects the Victorian era, and the bed was very comfortable. The room was spacious and overall, we found the hotel to be exceptional with wonderful food and staff. We highly recommend it.

We visited matlock bath with friends and decided to book hodgkinsons restaurant on recommendation. we were certainly not disappointed. eating was amazing and beautifully presented. it was all cooked to perfection and so fresh and absolutely delicious. the whole evening offered an unforgettable experience that gave them the feeling of being transported back to the Victorian aria. I have to admit at the arrival I was not sure what to expect, but we were made to feel so welcome, served delicious food and received exceptional service. this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

We stayed in the hotel for two nights (excellent) and had a meal in the restaurant the second night as they close on Sundays. Both service and quality of food was great and very reasonably priced. I can 't understand how this restaurant is not number...one in Matlock Baths as ,with the exception of a Thai restaurant, is the only one serving proper food, if you do not want fish chips !! It probably says more about the reviewers rather than the restaurants.
