Proper Pasty - Derbyshire Dales

Lovely little pastry shop located in the heart of Bakewell, offering a good selection of pastries, including a hearty traditional steak option for those with a big appetite. We purchased medium traditional pastries to enjoy by the river and they were delicious, so we will definitely be back. The service was friendly and welcoming, with great value for the price.

I had the spiced vegetarian pasty from this restaurant on the way to Monsal Way and it was delicious. It had just the right amount of spice and was bursting with flavor.

I ordered the medium-sized steak Cornish pasties and they were even better than the ones we had in Cornwall. I will definitely be calling again.

I try to get a pasty from here when I visit bakewell and am always satisfied with any pasty I order. Recently, however, I noticed that the filling is not so great. not sure what's going on with it, but not so much meat in the pasted? it with a 4 stars in the hope that the owner / manager sees this and fixes the problem as they always sell large pasty and other customers complain about the same problem. calm down!

Great little pasty shop, lovely food. Very friendly helpful staff, five star from me.
