The hotel is ideal for funeral meals as it is very close to the ballyowen cemetery. that was the reason we chose it. we booked for 55, but only 33 were up. the food was good, but the service could have been better, in a phase we had. to help ourselves drink coffee. since we booked 55, it was only fair that we pay 55. we only asked for the meal we paid as taking meal, we did not want the desserts. we thought that the 22 meal times would be combed in a similar way as they were shed. Finally we paid 20 pounds for them each. we were horrified! Chests of bark, truthahn and ham, maize, brat potatoes, etc. which are filled separately into containers. four parts truthahn
Brilliant service and friendly atmosphere, bar staff was more than friendly and definitiw went this extra mile to make us welcome. martin thanks for her kind welcome and helpful advice for two non-locals.
I went to the weeping restaurant with friends for dinner. It was a quiet Tuesday night. On the positive side, our waitress Grace was very helpful and attentive. However, the negative aspect was that the restaurant was very cold. Even though we were the only table in a spacious dining room, the next customers were seated right next to us. The food we ordered was bland and tasteless, with my dish being overcooked. The side of baby boiled potatoes was unappetizing due to being full of eyes. The dessert of the day was still hard and barely filled half of the small plate. The chips were disappointing, but were replaced when we raised our concerns. Overall, I was disappointed as I expect a restaurant meal to be at least as good as what I can make at home. Unfortunately, I will not be returning as there are many better dining options available.
Very disappointed. However they have a gluten free menu. Starters were excellent but main course was cold but I was compensated for this. Staff appeared very busy had to wait quite awhile between courses. There was a good choice on the menu.
