However, the broth needed something to brighten them up. Maybe a little trippy. My husband had the eggs Benedict. The price without addons was very good. The market was a little expensive, but it has a lot of hard to find good things, such as tinted cream, duck breast, English can beans, fresh figs, black pudding, rabbits etc... We wanted to try something new and were very happy to find this café/market.
They knock it out of the park every time with all their breads. The sourdough Italian are my two personal favs, but you cannot go wrong with one of them.
Travel through the Middle West of North Carolina. Toured the Capitol Building and the recommended gateway for their sandwiches. Good amount of vegan choices for me to whch I was grateful. Large menu with various options. Husband had the turkey dali sand. He really liked it, but found the mustard pretty sharp. I had the black bean burger with a side of vegan chili. The spice level was too much. So much that the taste was lost on me. We found a lot of seats to have and there's a plant parking lot. Now the market....WOW!!! We saw products that we can't get at Wholefoods in our next forest. Bakery also looked delicious. I wish they had some pets because they had no one at all. We drove to the airport and love it, home a dog treats our children.
We ordered the delivery we know it was a difficult offer, but we had two children who were tired and didn't want to leave the hotel to go to a restaurant. We had three rubies, one on full wheat, and two chicken strips with frits and Bbq sauce. Nothing in this order was correct, PLUS we were given without ketchup, no sauce, no whole wheat bread, no cutlery, no napkins. All sandwiches were burned beyond recognition, and the chicken strips were overcooked that they were more bread than chickens. Oh, and this catastrophe costs us $70. You should be ashamed that you served such garbage and charged like a first meal.
Every time I’m in Des Moines I always stop for lunch or dinner at Gateway. The food is always delicious and I enjoy the dining experience.
