Panera Bread - Des Plaines

I tried the Bacon Mac and Cheese at Panera, and I went with the large bowl. I must say, it was quite delicious. The cheese had a wonderful consistency, and all the flavors blended together nicely. The bacon was cooked perfectly—not too crunchy and not overly chewy. If you’re looking for a good alternative to sandwiches or soups, this is definitely a solid choice. The large size is satisfying for an adult. I placed my order through the rapid pick-up option, and it was ready when I arrived about 15 minutes later (the app had indicated it would be ready in 8 minutes).

Excellent food and customer service! My favorite is the Frontega Chicken minus the onions. There is a front and back door access to this establishment.

Food was good, clean, and fresh. But the reason I’m writing this review is because the service was exceptional. I had a brain fart and ordered an iced drink when I wanted a hot one. They were so kind about my mistake and swapped it out for my preferred drink at no extra cost with such courtesy and kindness. Shout out to Sandra for making me two drinks!!

Food was good. Staff was friendly. Has some older decor compared to the stand alone stores that have popped up in recent years and it is a small space so tables could be limited if at lunch or dinner rush. I was there at 2pm so it was fine in terms of no line and seating options.

I absolutely love my local Panera and their amazing, friendly staff. Thank you once again, Joe, for your generous support of the community and for the Cobblestone Rolls!
