Primrose - Destin

Food and service were wonderful. Server was very attentive and checked up as needed to make sure everything was to our liking. The only negative note would be that we were celebrating a birthday and had it noted on the reservation, but neither host or server said anything or acknowledged it.

We ate here a few times for breakfast which was fine. But our dinner experience, not good. Service was absolutely terrible. We waited over an hour for our entrees. The manager did comp a bottle of wine to make it better. We definitely appreciated that. But, our waiter didn’t visit our table for extreme periods of time. To make it worse, some of us would see him in the other bar area of the hotel when we’d visit the bathroom. When we mentioned this to another employee he got super rude with us.

We had breakfast and dinner at this restaurant. The hostess and server were friendly and attentive to our table. The kids waffle was very small. The breakfast otherwise was great. The dinner was good. The crispy cauliflower wasn’t crispy, but it was a big portion. The sushi was very good, just the rolls were not wrapped well and the rolls were cut a little too big. The kids pizza was a lot bigger than expected, but thankfully it was enough for both of our kids. The chicken noodle soup barely had any chicken in it. The Henderson single barrel bourbon was very good! It went down smooth and had a great taste. If you plan to eat here just be prepared to pay a high price.

I ordered the grouper entree and it was also supposed to have shrimp, crawfish, and sausage in it. There was zero shrimp or crawfish and only 1 small sausage piece. I told the waiter and he had them add to it but it’s absurd that I even had to ask about it, especially since it’s supposed to be a high end place with $60 entrees. We’re locals and we won’t be coming back.

Raged was the best host we've ever had in Destin! We came for the food, but will come back for his service.
