Ham Shop - Detroit

The Ham Shop provided excellent food at a great price (the breakfast special was only $7.99 two eggs, ham, home fries, and toast). I am not from Detroit, so to find this place, I asked the locals where they go to get a good breakfast at a good price. Their recommendation was spot on.

We go here fir breakfast whenever we are in town. Doesn't matter which hotel we stay in we make the walk there. The food is great and priced good. The service has always been great.

Good portion size, pretty tasty. We've been there twice already, so I guess that says something good.

It's right down the street from Ford Field so it's easy to get to before work or after. Meals are cheap and food is great.

I don't frequently eat fried foods but when in Rome, go for it. Order the chicken and waffles, and the only word I can really use to describe it as euphoric. Done to perfection, nothing pretentious about the atmosphere, a great meal all around. My friend that the ham with the eggs and pancakes, and this is real real ham, juicy and full of taste.
