This establishment is perfect for indulging in delicious chocolate as a mid-afternoon snack. The terrace is surrounded by a lush garden, creating a serene and cool atmosphere. The main area of the restaurant is the terrace itself, while the bar and kitchen are located underneath. The street level boasts a mini wine cellar, a rarity in India, and on the top floor is another seating area. While the menu may not be extensive, the items offered are of high quality. From stunning cakes to refreshing smoothies, coffees, and chais, everything is worth trying despite the slightly higher prices. The exceptional quality of the dishes makes it a must-visit spot for food lovers.
Located at the end of Jogivara Road, past the Tibetan school and where the quieter area of McLeod begins, is this establishment for lovers of sweet treats. The Chocolate is perfect for a mid-afternoon snack, with a terrace set amidst a lush garden that seems to blend into the surroundings. The entire place is a terrace, with the bar-kitchen area located below where you are served, a small wine cellar at street level (quite rare to see in India), and the upper terrace. While they may not have a wide variety of items, everything they offer is of high quality. Their cakes are spectacular, as are their milkshakes, coffees, and chais. Prices are slightly higher than average, but with everything being so affordable, you can't resist trying their excellent quality offerings.
It seems that the chocolate shop was the first to serve cakes to the whole town. Nowadays, due to the tourist season, it has been imitated more than once. However, the staff remains very friendly. We had ordered downstairs and then settled on the terrace, waiting for them to call you when the order is ready. It's not good weather to enjoy the lovely décor without getting cold.
