Despite the name change to Born, the excellent service and warmth of a small-town eatery remain unchanged. As you walk through the double-panel doors, you'll be welcomed and seated almost immediately by friendly servers, all of whom are of Korean descent and fluent in English. Knowing a little Korean can enhance your experience here, too. The seating mostly consists of booths that accommodate up to eight people, with around 11 or 12 tables in total. If you're in the area and looking to savor authentic Korean flavors, I highly recommend giving this place a try. I promise you won't regret it! With wonderful food, great company, and refreshing drinks, it’s an unbeatable experience!
As a newcomer to Diamond Bar and a fan of Korean BBQ, I feel lucky to have found this restaurant just a short walk away, so I had to try it out. They offer an all-you-can-eat (AYCE) menu with various tiers. After considering the options, we opted for the $23.99 plan, which was just right for our hunger. The marinated meats were packed with flavor and served fresh rather than frozen, which I truly appreciated. The side dishes were also impressive. This is the first Korean BBQ spot I've been to that has corn cheese—it's a must-try if you haven't had it before! They also offer rice paper, which is another plus in my opinion. The staff were friendly and attentive, and I never had to use the call button for service. Overall, I would rate this place a solid 10 out of 10 and highly recommend it. This will definitely be my go-to Korean BBQ spot for a long time!
We dined at this restaurant on a Saturday night and opted for outdoor seating. It was our first experience having our vaccination cards checked, which was intriguing! We had the outdoor area all to ourselves, contributing to a lovely atmosphere. The condiments were quite good. However, the standout was the meat—exceptional quality and freshness. The cuts were among the best I’ve had at any Korean BBQ. They were incredibly fresh, and I appreciated that the marinated meats weren't overly sweet. We will definitely be back! With the outdoor seating and the outstanding food, this is a place we’ll return to without a doubt!
You definitely have to experience the USDA prime ribeye steak. You can order it just once, but the quality is outstanding—it's absolutely worth it! I have a couple of tips: Be sure to ask for Aaron when you arrive; he’s the best server in the restaurant. He has a great attitude and offers fantastic service. Additionally, I recommend choosing the beef short plate over the bulgogi, as it's not as sweet. Enjoy your meal!
The brisket sauce was different from what I'm typically used to; it was thicker and had a bit more spice, but it was really tasty! We were also very impressed with the bulgogi. Overall, this restaurant was fantastic and reminded us of some favorite spots we used to visit a long time ago. The servers were attentive and friendly, the prices were reasonable, and the menu offered plenty of options. I would definitely recommend this place and am looking forward to returning!
