As for vegetarian options, my picky vegan granddaughter was the first to place her order—something that never happens! We usually find ourselves waiting an extra 10 minutes just so she can find something she can eat off the menu. Thank you, Under the Oak! Service was excellent for dining in.

I've dined here several times, and the food is absolutely delicious. I ordered the chopped steaks with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts, and the flavors were outstanding. The portion sizes are generous; I always leave feeling satisfied and never hungry. The service and atmosphere are excellent as well. Service: Dine in, Meal type: Lunch.

08/12/2023 Back at the Under the Oak Cafe. My table ordered the fried pickles and okra. This was over seasoned, and the okra was tough and stringy. It is obviously old. Do not recommend it. The patty melt and fries were good. Also, the gumbo is very well done. 05/03/2023 I got the patty melt and fries. Waitress was very good. 04/2023 Had the burger and fries. Very nice. Gem inside Scarlet Pearl Casino. Good variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner entrees. Chicken Francaise is popular and delicious. Italian beef is nice, too. Give it a try before or after Lava Links or your choice of entertainment fun. Parking: Plenty available in the attached garage or the street lots across the way. Valet is an option too. Kid-friendliness: The restaurant and non-casino is kid-friendly. This restaurant is good for families as long as you don’t mind the background noise from slot machines.
