My husband had the fried fish and shrimp that the dough was phenomenal. Batters on seafood can be hit or missed. That was definitely an HIT! The service was just as good as the food. We recommend this place very much. It's gonna be a way for us to go back to East Texas.
If you're traveling on hwy 59 this place is great to break the hamburger monotony. I arrived here on a Sunday morning before the after-church crowd hit it. Overall it's good, and I suppose if you are regularly in Diboll, Texas then you really don't have extensive options when it comes to Mexican food. There is nothing outstanding or spectacular about the facility, and that's fine. The food here is good. The chip and salsa combo that is served to you before your food comes up is just ok. Don't bother eating the chips and salsa because their main dishes are the real attraction. If you are not feeling especially hungry, then you can get the charro beans and those are excellent. They put in a more than adequate portions of pork belly or bacon in the beans and that gives them a really hearty flavor. The rest of food served there I would say is average/comparable to any good Mexican restaurant you would find in Houston. I would come back again.
Good food. first time here just grabbed a to go on my way home. the fajita was good, good portions, price was pretty good. when im in the area again I'll definitely visit again.
3 of us ate there. The place was empty but we still received good customer service and food served prompt and hot. I recommend the large burrito . Very good
Well my 1st time eating at this restaurant and it was an order I placed on the phone for pick up. My food (chimichanga) was great, husbands was not good because of red sauce on his shrimp enchiladas which is not what I thought they put on them nor did he but he ate them anyway. The $5 guacamole was underwhelming to say the least. Just a overly smushed up avocado mixed with a diced tomato. I am pretty sure it had no salt or lime or taste! Any who, I fixed it when I arrived home. The part that is upsetting to me is the amount I paid for this underwhelming lunch. Almost $40 for the food with NO itemized ticket letting me know the breakdown of the prices per item. I really feel like I was overcharged because they knew I was new to the restaurant.
