Jack's Family - Dickinson

The restaurant closed at 6:30 PM on a summer evening, and I arrived at 6:32 PM. Who closes this early? It took me ages to find a local, non-chain place to eat in this town.

I was not impressed with my experience. The prices were too high for the quality, and the food lacked flavor. I tried Jack's based on a recommendation, but I won't be going back. There are better options available in town.

The service and food were incredible! I really appreciate that it's a locally owned family business that has been around since 1971.

Absolutely delicious fried chicken, even better than KFC! Dining here is always a treat for my family. Don’t forget to grab a bowl of knoephla or borscht with your order. It’s a beloved spot in Dickinson that I hope remains for a long time. I always enjoy chatting with Jack at checkout; he adds to the experience. Their ice in the soft drinks is fantastic—it's that small-cube hospital ice that quickly chills your drink. The atmosphere is cozy, reminiscent of grandma's house, as many have pointed out. Who doesn’t love visiting grandma? They should definitely include more chicken-themed decor! Haha! I still can’t understand why they replaced the iconic "BUCKETS OF CHICKEN" sign with that ugly new one. Even when I get close (like five feet away), I can’t quite make out what that clip-art image is supposed to be—is it a kettle, an octopus with some tomatoes? Lol!

This restaurant has the best burgers and chicken my mouth was watering with the smells and there was the best service and jacks had great waiters and waitresses 10/10
