The menu was a dried piece of chicken and chips french fries), all I don't know how many times reheated. The french fries where so dark brown, at least the put them 3 times in oil to reheat them. No sauce, no side dish, nothing. This was junk food at his worst but for a price of a dinner 17 Euro around). Famous French cuisine? Here you won't find it. You have been warned not recommended.
We had a 'let 's not use Trip Advisor or other similar internet services to find a place to find a place to eat ' night and walked around for a bit before finding this restaurant. We guessed this place would be a lot higher up the rankings than it actually is. (I wonder how many TA reviews are biased by the existing ranking reviews. I suspect most. I would like to commission some blind reviewing). Anyway, at EUR21 for two solid courses plus a fluffy ice cream, it offers reasonable value. It is though let down by its very limited wine list; about six whites and nine reds, the more pricy of which were apparently out of stock. The Chablis we had was, though, palatable. The atmosphere of a little alleyway squeezed in by a cafe outside of which a street band were playing was nice. Avoid the table nearest to the steer because it is right opposite a noisy air con outlet from the building opposite. The service was friendly but the lady running the show looked over-worked, despite holding it together well. They should hire more staff. Did not interfere with our evening though.
Very cute place, you feel very welcome as soon as you push the door. The menu isn't too expensive and the waitress is a doll. We didn't have to wait between each of ours dishes and the gratin dauphinois was amazing! I really liked it :
We stopped off at this little restaurant in an alley in Dijon. Our first meal in France it did not disappoint. My husband had escargot which were delicious in typical butter, garlic and herbs. I enjoyed a salad with croustillant de chevre these morsels of cheese, lardon, figs (I think), wrapped in a light pastry yum. Have never had anything like them. Service was also very good. Friendly and helpful wait staff.
A good restaurant with quality dishes without being exceptional. The benchmark for professional meals. The service is nice and fast enough.Maybe a little expensive for what it is.
