I have planned our trip, including researching good family restaurants in dijon for an overnight break. I have booked our visit at franck smitt by pépé joseph restaurant on juni and gave them acquainted weeks ago. when we arrived in our accommodation in dijon after an auto hour, everyone was looking forward to a good meal and then bed, we were all washed and dressed and came in the restaurant for a booking only to find the restaurant closed and to say a parting at the door closed for restorations they had not tried to contact me to let me know, and as a result we had not planned the next hour in dijon!
My man and I were in this restaurant after reading the great reviews on this page. I can honestly say that was one of the best meal I've ever had. they can feel the love that the cook for cooking in every bite has you...take the atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the staff is very friendly. the menu is made daily so they don't find it online. no need to worry about the price, because it was very reasonable for those who opposed it. when they come to dijon, make sure they're here!
This restaurant is an absolute gem, the art they want to draw to france! initially the personal was amazing, especially damien, who had great advice to give weine. the food was great, the firecrows were great and tasty. The...evening has even more fun than it was, let's just sum it up by saying, if they are in dijon and don't come to pepe joseph, they are missing!
We have spent an evening in this restaurant and I know a thing: whenever I look for a good restaurant in dijon, I will stop here! my son asked me for something else than a pizza restaurant and we found here on tripadvisor. going here was one of the best decisions of the holiday. we had Tarte-Fambée, in different flavors. they were the best we ever had. especially the mushrooms and truffles were great, but the standard was not much less. they were cut into pieces so we could share the taste. take a glass of the Alsatian muscat to both, and they will have a great taste experience. see my pictures for the beautiful interieur. they will not find it in the center next to many shops, but it is worth visiting! a note: the combination of music and video in the restaurant is not a good combination for a super romantic evening, but its amusing and adds atmosphere.
I ate at lunch at 2. 2 beers 2 glasses of wine. very rich and very good, from the Alsatian specialties of good wine. ratio quality correct price. service was pleasant waiting time too. a redo in the evening to test a flamenkuch (sorry for spelling)
