Luis Restaurant - Dinkelsbühl

We ate four breakfasts and four dinners at the Luis restaurant, after the first meal we did not want to look anywhere else. Over this period we tried several different meals and they were all superb, a particular speciality is the Luis burger. All the...meals being served looked good and it was difficult to choose. The restaurant was extremely busy in the evenings but despite this the meals were served very promptly. The free 'taster ' desert was something we had not experienced before and a lovely touch.

We had a lunch there and would have loved to stay for dinner. I had the pulled pork sandwich and my wife the creamy herring salad. Both were outstandingly good. The greeting from the kitchen at the end of the meal was a welcome twist...on the theme and very well executed. And living in Italy we both agree that the coffee we got was the best we have had this side of the alps. Luckily our travels take us on a regular basis past that area and we will be looking for excuses to stop there again.

The service was exceptional to the extent that they...even gave us a complimentary dessert. Food was fantastic and the beer was lovely. A really nice unexpected stop.

Eat here twice for dinner and breakfast. Food is well cooked and serving staff are very friendly. Plenty of breakfast choice
