You can get privacy and spend quality time with your family. There were fountains and white ducks and a small playground for children. The whole area was well maintained given the numerous varieties of plants they had. The food was good too. We had opted for rice and bhapa illish. The fish was fresh and tasted awesome.Another plus point of the place is that the washroom was clean and had water supply.
Maximum Dhaba's in Sonapur are almost same in design by small huts made of bamboo along with restaurant..My family stopped by there for weekend lunch few months back..Its in Sonapur area nearby highway city Dhaba..by car from my place it was half an hour on a few zigzag GS road..After we reached we ordered roti, mix veg of cauliflower with peas n potato, local chicken with gravey n green salad..in dessert fresh fruit salad n few sweets..Food quality was upto the mark n service was so so..waiter was almost SR. Citizen. For kids enjoyment few Rabbits, swings, sea saw as usual n a little fish pond with living fish..kids played, enjoyed with living fish n rabbits n already slept...car parking available.
Visited the resort for a lunch with family. Till the time family joined took a walk around the resort, it's pretty good from landscapes and interiors point of view. Very green and nice fauna. It has rooms with lot of wilderness also. Food and restaurants were average.
My family decided to have Sunday lunch somewhere outside town. The early November sun was at its most pleasant as we drove eastwards out from the main city. My wife liked the look of this first dhaba to the south of the highway after debouching from the Jorabat hills. After a short spin on the highway it was time for lunch and straight to this dhaba. The parking lot has adequate space for at least twenty vehicles and the overall layout of the place was pleasant. We occupied one of the ten odd small cottages which were decorated with bamboo work. Although there was also a conventional restaurant we preferred to sit out. The waiter was prompt with his response and more importantly was knowledgeable about quantities and food combinations. After placing our orders my wife inspected the nursery which seems to be doing well and adds to a feeling of dining in a garden. There is also a small park for kids and some rabbits to keep them amused. Chicken clear soup for starters was well done with just the right amount of shredded chicken. Few restaurants in Guwahati make proper tandoori rotis but here the cook got it just right. The jeera rice was however, just so so. The chicken curryand black dal fry were also mundane but the chicken liver pot fry was excellent as was the fried assorted fish. The onion salad had to be ordered seperately since no one serves complimentary onions any more. Overall I rate this place good for a pleasant family lunch within an hour from the city. The rates are also reasonable and the quantities served are man-sized.
I recently stayed at this resort and was truly amazed by its natural beauty. The location of the resort was perfect and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. I highly recommend visiting this resort at least once.
