Cold Stone Creamery - Dodge City

I drove an hour just to get ice cream, and the experience was incredibly disappointing. The staff was extremely rude, and I couldn't get a simple answer about one of the ingredients—specifically, whether one of their products is dairy-free. It's surprising that an ice cream shop couldn't provide that kind of information, especially since I wanted to enjoy a treat without risking feeling unwell. Eventually, a woman came over who spoke very little English and assured me it was safe. At that point, however, I didn't trust what she said. This situation is just one more example of how being white in Dodge City often leads to poor treatment, no matter where you go.

The staff were very helpful and courteous, displaying a positive attitude. Most of the ice cream seems to be quite good, and the crème brûlée is impressive. However, I was really disappointed with the pistachio-flavored option. The pistachio ice cream I've had from my local Wal-Mart not only tastes like real pistachios but also has pieces of the nuts in it. In contrast, yours tasted more like a mild vanilla with some green food coloring thrown in. Come on, folks! You can do better!
